please tell me what is happening in December? I heard the address on KDKA but didn’t catch the entire event – rides with Santa? Not sure exactly. Couldn’t find any further info. on your site.
Thanks,
Coming ‘home’ to the ‘burgh for a visit in early october and you’re definitely on the schedule (every year since my daughter has been little we’ve visited and gotten our ‘special’ pumpkins (there is a good story behind this)! Can’t wait to visit. Are you on Facebook?
Grant, Sorry I don’t have anything up on the new website yet about employment. Yes, we are always taking applications for full-time, part-time, and intern positions. Feel free to call the home farm number and if no one answers leave a message of a way to get in contact with you.
Thanks, Dave King
love the pa sweet onions but I live in reading ,pa can you send me sweet onions to grow in my garden ? If so please send me info. on what I need to do as far as shipping and cost and so forth I would be very grateful.
Other than that looking forward to receiving email from you
Bill,
There is nothing special about the PA Simply Sweet Onion transplants. We use the brand “Candy”, which you can buy anywhere. The unique thing is the way they are grown: with black plastic and drip irrigation. That is what makes them so large and sweet. You could duplicate this in your garden, but you will have to be diligent. Go to the Penn State Extension website for more details on how to grow sweet onions.
Welcome to the new guestbook!

Do you hire at all for the season. I just finished working with Don at Kretschmann Farms and am looking to continue my CSA / Farming experience.
Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Love sweet onions… your Sweet Onion Casserole looks great. Can you tell me how much Ritz crackers to use? A box or 1 sleeve? Thanks,
Roseanne
